Compensator CanopiesGeneral DescriptionApplication: Fabrication: Equipment: OptionsThe Compensator canopies can be equipped with several options for an even better efficiency and working environment; Technical DetailsHere you will find the technical information of the Compensator and Compensator 90 canopies. Both canopies are available in a wall (A), single Island (E) and double island (D) model. V-Compensator The ENERGY SAVING compensator canopy is fabricated from 18 swg (1.0 – 1.20 mm thick) type 304 stainless steel. All visible surfaces are ultra fine grain polished to 320 grit and polythene protected. The canopy is cut, punched and folded into sub-sections of up to 6000 mm in length and factory assembled by means of computer controlled seam welds and non visible mechanical fixings. Joints are provided with internal cover-plates so that no joints and mechanical fixings are visible. The canopy is equipped with a single (wall canopy) or double bank (island canopy) of Vianen FeconŽ grease extraction filters. The grease runs off the filters into an integrated grease collecting gutter and into the easily removable grease tray(s). On top of the canopy factory fitted spigots are provided for the exhaust air. Integrated in the canopy are the Vianen V-ITLŽ rated IP 54 recessed light fitting(s) complete with cable to an electrical box. The V-ITL light fittings have a light level of 500 lux at working height. Untreated supply air is introduced into factory fitted spigot(s) on top of the insulated supply plenums (two for the island canopy) from which the air is discharged via the slots inside the canopy to provide an induction effect with a maximum of 50%. Untreated supply air is also discharged into the personal adjustable ABS spot coolers which are fitted to the horizontal front section of the perimeter for personal comfort. The ENERGY SAVING compensator canopy extracts heat and contaminants rising from the equipment and partly compensates for the air extracted from the kitchen. This is achieved by introducing correct quantities of untreated supply air with an induction feature to create a complete envelope around the cooking apparatus and simultaneously introducing air into the kitchen area. This system reduces the draught in the kitchen. Hanging brackets are fitted on the top corners of the canopy for easy installation. The canopy compensates for the air extracted by introducing correct quantities of supply air with an induction feature to create a complete envelope around the cooking apparatus.
The canopy is assembled by means of computer controlled seam welds and visible surfaces are ultra fine grain polished and polythene protected. Joints are provided with internal cover-plates so that no joints and mechanical fixings are visible. All metal edges are rolled smooth and are free of sharp edges and projections. The canopy lower edge is formed into a condensation channel with inclined internal elevation to simplify cleaning and the inner edges are crush folded for safety purposes.
